‘m off to Lake Okeechobee in the morning for the Big O Hike, but when I return on Dec 1 I’ll be setting up a web page on Florida Hikes! where you can order autographed books for the holidays. Folks have asked me about doing this for years, but I didn’t have the time or energy to do it before. Now I do! Especially after buying the stock of books and getting my publishing rights back from Westcliffe Publishers. The company changed hands, so the time was right.
I have a nice stock of The Florida Trail: The Official Hiking Guide, most of which were returns from bookstores so they have some minor scuffing to the covers, and will sell those for $15 each. I also have a small stack of the coffee table book Along the Florida Trail, and will sell those for $20 each. Or you can buy the set for $30. Shipping and tax are included (shipping is to US addresses only) and will be by USPS Priority Mail unless you want to give me your FedEx # for an urgent last-minute gift.
I’ll have a few other titles too, depending on what I come home with from my travels. 50 Hikes in Central Florida is a definite, for $20. All books can be inscribed to whoever you like – your sister, your son’s Scout leader, your dentist … or you! I’ll post a prominent link on Florida Hikes! and will accept payment through PayPal (including credit cards). Watch for the launch after December 1. I’ll only be doing this through the holidays, as I plan to be out on the trail after Christmas. As for the Official Guide, it’s now officially out of print, and when the ones I have are gone, they’re gone … until I write the new edition!
