Increased military training activity on Eglin Air Force Base may result in sudden and sporadic closures of the Florida Trail between US 331 and RR 208.
The park is open 7 AM to dusk. Park at the pulloff for the boardwalk (if there’s room) or continue to the parking area at the top of the hill. There is a restroom at the parking area. From US 17 south of Lakeland, take CR 640 east, following Great Florida Birding Trail signs for a mile to park entrance on left before the bridge over the Peace River.
