Hello all! Glad I found this website. I'm going to be doing the Apalachicola National Forest section in a couple of weeks. I'm wondering if anyone knows of any shuttle service that can take me back to the eastern terminus when I finish?

Thank you in advance for your wisdom.

Hi, just a heads up that Bradwell Bay is closed due to a wildfire in there. Be sure you check ahead (news.floridatrail.org) for latest trail updates before you go.

I don't know of anyone who has formally stepped forward to offer a shuttle service in the area, but the folks at TNT Hide-A-Way on the Wakulla River said they *might* shuttle for a fee if they are not busy: www.tnthideaway.com/

Also, I would try Sopchoppy Outfitters: (850) 962-2020
and Backwoods Bistro in Sopchoppy: backwoodsbistro@earthlink.net
P: (850) 962-2220

Wakulla County has some certified outdoor guides who'd probably be willing to shuttle you for a fee. Call the folks at The Inn at Wildwood http://www.innatwildwood.com/ to get leads.

Hope that helps. Best of luck! Remember, you can always roadwalk around Bradwell Bay if you have to.

Thanks for the heads-up; I was wondering if this section had been affected by the fires. I ordered the maps from FTA last week, hopefully they will include an update sheet.

Great info on the contacts. That';s exactly what I was looking for, thanks. I'll try contacting them next week.
