I'm 35 years old, married with three girls. I've been hiking on and off since I was a kid and I'm now introducing it to my kids. I'm out of Palm Beach Gardens and my favorite hike around here would probably be the trails at the Dupris WMA. I'm planning a solo two nighter in the Dupris/Corbitt areas in a couple of months (West half of the O2L). I know it isn't the best time to do it, but it will be an experience!

That's great you are taking the kids along. There are so many wonderful short trails in Palm Beach County ... someday I'll get them all posted here. I bet you've taken them to Grassy Waters and Hungryland Slough at least.

I've been hiking with my girls for a little
over a year. There is nothing like it in the
world. But first I had to figure out their
limits. I have one who prefers the nature trails
and can stand 5 miles. And the other, only 12
likes the longer hikes on more narrow trails.
My son 16 would rather go by canoe and fish than
hike.
Car camping with kids is great fun in the fall and
winter. Look into the trailtrotter program.
