Take I-75 exit 329, Wildwood, and drive west 11 miles to Inverness. Turn west on FL 44, following it through Inverness to CR 581. Turn left. Drive 2.5 miles, passing the Withlacoochee State Forest fire tower, to the sign for Holder Mine Recreation Area. Turn right. The road becomes sand after the first mile, and continues for another mile as TR-10 into Holder Mine Recreation Area. Pass the hunt check station and campground. The trailhead is on the left, with a Florida Trail “FT” sign and kiosk.
