The Big Sinkhole
This week’s hike for Hike-A-Week subscribers is the Disappearing Creek Loop along the Florida Trail west of White Springs.

I’ve been there a few times but shot slides twice … I need to visit again! It’s a great place to review Florida geology right from the trail, and isn’t very far from White Springs. Here’s where Camp Branch rushes down the final stretch to vanish into a giant sinkhole.
