According to Alton Snellgrove, who’s overseeing the annual IDIDAHIKE along the Florida Trail Suwannee River section,
We will need to reschedule the IDIDAHIKE due to high water. According to Eric there were sections of the trail under water Monday and looking at the gauge station it has risen about 6 inches a day. At that rate it will be more than three feet deep in several low areas.
There’s still plenty of hiking season left.
So, keep tuned for updates on when this popular hike-and-shuttle event will happen!
