To keep our state parks open all across the state, DEP is implementing new fees to help with their budgetary shortfall. They issued a press release today recounting the details. As it’s been many years since any significant rise in state park fees, I’m glad they’ve chosen to offset debt with fees rather than close any of our state parks.
- Day-use entrance fee for vehicles with up to eight people: average increase of $1.00 – $3.00
- Camping fees: average increase of $4.00 per night
- Cabin rental fees: average increase of $10.00 per night
- Annual Pass: $60.00 for individuals and $120.00 for families up to eight people – still a fabulous bargain for Florida residents!
