FT Kissimmee closure

Due to constuction work by South Florida Water Management District, the Florida Trail is closed between the S-154 water structure and SR 70. An alternate route is available... Northbound hikers (from Okee-tantie) hike 5.6 miles to the S-154 water structure. Cross it, and follow the L-62 Interceptor Canal north to a bridge at SW 87th Terrace. Head north on SW 87th Terrace for 0.5 mile to SR 70. Walk west along SR 70 for 3 miles to CR 599 to rejoin the Florida Trail.
