The Florida Trail is closed along the Suwannee Section (between Bell Springs and Twin Rivers State Forest / Mill Creek Tract) and in the Big Bend (along the Aucilla River) due to severe flooding, according to the Florida Trail Association. Recent heavy rains in North Florida and South Georgia have led to some of the worst regional flooding in recent history, causing rivers to rise to historic levels. US 90 is closed due to flooding in Madison County near Suwannee River State, and it’s possible that I-10 may be closed temporarily. Officials say 40% of Hamilton County (White Springs, Jasper, Jennings) is currently under water.
