Pensacola Dunes a beauty spot

Sugary-white sand and emerald water are counterpoints on a hike that leads you through nearly 4 miles of pristine dunes – up and over and down, a true roller-coaster of a hike – at the UWF Dunes Preserve in Pensacola Beach. This linear segment of the Florida Trail is one of the prettier places to get out and explore bayside coastal dunes that rise high enough for you to see the Gulf of Mexico, too.

I agree this is a beautiful place. We used to take our boat across Santa Rosa sound and anchor out there on the beach there. This area is also known as The Sugar Bowl… b/c of the sugary-white sands.
