State Park Closures Part II: Stating my case

Should any Florida State Parks close? I think not. Last night I sat down and wrote my reasoned letter and sent it to Governor Crist, Lt. Governor Kottkamp, DEP Secretary Michael Sole, and Florida State Parks Director Mike Bullock. I received a very pleasant reply first thing this morning from a member of Governor Crist’s staff, Aundra Bryant of the Office of Policy and Budget. She confirmed that my message would be considered with those of all other Floridians who write the governor, but most importantly, she closed by saying:

You may also wish to share your comments with your local legislative delegation.

So, in the interest of helping us ALL impress upon our legislators the importance of keeping our parks open – even if it means more limited hours or slightly higher admission fees – here’s where you can find and contact your local state legistators. Thanks for spreading the word!
