Florida’s state forest system encompasses hundreds of thousands of acres of recreational resources in Florida. The Florida Division of Forestry Trailwalker Program encourages you to hike designated trails in Florida’s state forests. For a Trailwalker application, visit any of the designated Trailwalker trailheads for a brochure, call 850-414-0871, or visit their website. As you complete each hike, you send in a postcard to the program, and after 10 hikes, you receive a patch and certificate. The vast majority of the Trailwalker trails are multi-use. Some notable exceptions are included on this website. Most state forests charge a recreation day use fee; an annual pass is available.
